Attractions: Wimberley is blessed with a location on the banks of Cypress Creek and the Blanco River surrounded by the Texas Hill Country. As a result, there are great outdoor activities nearby: Jump off a Cliff at Jacob’s Well - Located at the headwaters of Cypress Creek, is beloved by locals and visitors alike both for the icy cold waters, the bubbling spring (from 140 ft below ground), and the beautiful limestone cliffs. Jacob’s Well is the most famous swimming hole in Wimberley and is listed as one of America’s most beautiful swimming holes but also has a famous and dangerous history for cave divers – (without proper gear, it is impossible to enter these caves!)

Blanco State Park - Located only 30 miles from Wimberley, Blanco State Park is a great spot for swimming, tubing, fishing and kayaking on the beautiful Blanco River. Potter’s Creek Park on Canyon Lake – less than 25 minutes away Hamilton Pool in Dripping Springs – 45 minutes away Barton Springs Pool in Austin – spring fed swimming pool – 40 minutes away Canyon Lake Marina – rent boats – 35 minutes away Rough Creek Lavender Fields is located in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, just 7 miles NW of Wimberley on FM 2325.

Wimberley offers many unique art galleries, including Wimberley Glass Works, with entertaining glass blowing demonstrations six days a week. Wimberley is also full of unique shops that offer traditional and not-so-traditional art and wares. Although the primary shopping areas are clustered around the “Square” and “Olde Towne Plaza”, there are also shops sprinkled throughout other areas.
